Due to excessive tardiness by a staggering number of students the attendance policy of NorthStar High School has been changed to provide a less interruptive learning environment.

School begins at 8:20 a.m.  Students arriving late then entering classes after the first bell makes for an extremely disruptive environment at the beginning of first period.  Any students who are not in class by the 8:20 scheduled start of class will be documented as tardy by the front office, but will be allowed to enter classes for the first five minutes of the class. 

Students who miss (10) or more classes per semester or (20) per year will not earn credit for their class based on state attendance requirements.
